Fast Food Giant McDonalds wanted to make giving away a grotesque PS5 controller, but has made the bill without Sony. The result is a pretty embarrassing retractor.
McDonalds has announced a gaming action in the last week for the 50th anniversary of the restaurant chain in Australia **. The company showed an extravagant PS5 controller, which should be sent competition participants and Australian gamers as part of a Streamer Week.
Sony, however, found the action anything but tastefully ** and pushed a bar to the unauthorized controller.
PS5: Sony blocks the McDonalds Controller
The dualsense of McDonalds should stylish a bag fries, a Big Mac and of course the restaurant logo . From the simply elegant design that Sony originally provided for the PS5 controller, this design was quite away.
Apparently the action was also completely announced without consultation with PlayStation. In the end, this curiosity solely led to the fact that McDonals Australia had to postpone the announced Streamer Week and additionally published a statement in which it admits teeth that Sony had not authorized the use of the PS5 controller. PS5 Controller: McDonalds forgot to ask
The failed PS5 action by McDonalds Australia is not only because of the usual design of the dualSense controller remarkable: it is also curious, because apparently no one has thought of McDonalds to talk to Sony and the right to the controller to clarify.
As already some manufacturers of simple black chassis mats had to find, Sony does not find it funny when third-party providers work around at the PS5 design. Since a Big-Mac-with-french monstrosity would not be allowed, the responsible persons with McDonalds could previously consider.
